RESIDENCY AT THE BABYAN CULTURE HOUSE
I was recently invited to participate in my dream residency this summer at the Babyan Culture House in Cappadocia Turkey. While there I will create 25 direct life paintings, and 10 medium studio paintings that emphasize the "glass wall" between tourists and locals.

VISUAL OVERLOAD

The Fuller Projects Gallery will be hosting a show which I've curated. The theme is the term "Visual Overload", a relevant experience of contemporary media, which will be interpreted and explained by each artist. The participants are all second year MFA candidates of Indiana University Bloomington's Graduate Painting department.

The show will be open for one night only, from 7:30-10:30pm Friday October 22.

2D SHOW AT LRG

The Low Road Gallery will be featuring works by Jennifer Herrold, Michelle Given, Justin Schwab and Rachel Wolfson in their October show, 2D. It will be "the first of four group shows themed around media that highlight some of the best contemporary artists in the state."

The Opening is on October 8 at 7:00pm with Artist Talks starting at 7:30pm. The show will be a part of DePauw University's Art Fest, and will remain up until November 8. CHILD BALLADS SHOW

The Child Ballads show is curated by Baltimore painter Teddy Johnson, and willl be held at the G-Spot on September 11, 2010. The show is based on 304 English, Scottish, and American ballads, collected by James Child. Each of the 13 artists made a painting in response to a ballad of their choice.
